Not a lot happening. The long weekend was good. I really needed the extra day off.
I got a little bored with Shards of Dalaya. Mark doesn’t really like to play, and without someone else to keep me company, I started losing interest. Mark is doing a free trial of Eve Online. I beta’d Eve and [...]

I just added a new page to this site talking about my experiences with fibromyalgia.  It might be a worthwhile read for any of you with fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue.  Specifically it talks about the theory of peripheral thyroid resistance.  Give it a read.
Note:  it’s not spam, I don’t offer to sell you anything or [...]

I’ve been in a pretty good fibromyalgia flare since the surgery in February, and the fatigue hit pretty heavily this week. Needless to say, I haven’t been keeping up with my meditations from the Twelve Wild Swans. Hopefully next week will be a little better. I’m starting to feel a little more energy, so hopefully [...]

But you don’t look sick…
I don’t often talk about having fibromyalgia or the struggles that go with it.  I found this link a couple of years ago, and the first time I read it I cried.  At last, someone had found a way to put into words how I feel so much of the time.  [...]

Woohoo…my hemoglobin is in the normal range for the first time in my adult life (and I’m 44 *rolls eyes*). Just barely in the normal range, so it’s still got a little ways to go. I’ve got 4 more infusions scheduled, and then I should finally be done. The doc said that I might require [...]

Don’t get me wrong, I’m incredibly grateful to have good insurance.  I’d have been on the county dole if I’d had to pay for all of this stuff myself.  But why do the insurance companies have to be so difficult to deal with?
I’m still getting weekly infusions of iron.  I have about 7 more weeks [...]

My husband sent this article to me last week: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20060328.gtelectricity28/BNStory/Technology/
I know many people are skeptical about this type of phenomena, but I do think it happens.  I know the electrical fields around our bodies can interfere with electrical devices.  My father, for instance, couldn't wear a battary operated watch.  The batteries would always burn out [...]

In other news…did I mention I'm thinking about going back to school to finish my degree? I've been thinking about it for some time, but now that I'm getting my energy back, I'm sort of getting excited about the idea. I figure since I'm working for a university where I can take classes for just [...]

He’ll decide when I can go back to work. On the one hand, I wouldn’t mind having a little extra time. My energy levels, while greatly improved, still have a ways to go. On the other hand, though, I’m out of leave time and have no guarantee of getting further donations of leave through the [...]
